CFO and COO – Habitat for Humanity Indonesia

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit, Christian housing ministry. We seek to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make descent shelter a matter of conscience and action. In Indonesia, Habitat for Humanity Indonesia as the national foundation, currently operates regular programs across 8 provinces and in some other areas for disaster response programs.

Habitat for Humanity Indonesia is now seeking some professionals to fill the following positions. Ideal candidates should be Indonesian who are strong qualified managers with excellent leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is also an important prerequisite.

1.    Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reporting to the National Director, the Chief Financial Officer will oversee Habitat for Humanity Indonesia’s finance functions and will play a significant top management role.

The ideal candidate will be a CPA with a graduate in finance degree or an MBA and will have a minimum of ten years relevant financial-management expertise and at least five years of experience as a senior financial manager.

He/she will have broad financial management skills to direct the financial planning, accounting, internal controls, and loan portfolio management needs of the organization, and will be primarily responsible for managing the financial risks of the organization.

2.   Chief Operating Officer (COO)

At the direction of the National Director, the Chief Operating Officer will lead a wide network of branches and projects across Indonesia, marshal limited resources to the most productive uses with the aim of creating maximum value for the beneficiaries, develop and cascade the organization strategy/mission statement to the lower level staff by implementing appropriate recognition and coaching practices to align personnel and organization goals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience of which a minimum of five years will have been in senior management, preferably leading a housing development or a housing finance institution.

He/she will understand deeply a grassroots community’s needs and more importantly has the proven ability to interact effectively with all constituents including: international partners, donors, corporate leaders and government partners.
